Grades 3 - 12

Participants are deemed as "Makers and agents of change. "When you have the "Maker's Mindset,"  participants know  they can change the world. In our Electrical Engineering: Circuit Club, participants are encouraged to be imaginative, creative, and inventive.  Participants will: 

  • Follow the Engineering Design Process to solve a problem

  • Explore Circuits

  • Test Conductivity: Conductor vs. Insulator

  • Use Scratch Programming Language to Code

  • Design a gaming controller with everyday items

  • Make musical circuits with liquids and fruits

  • Engineer & Program D.I.Y. Assistive Technology

  • Partake in an Engineering Think Tank Showcase

​International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for Students

At Young Minds Empowered, we incorporate ISTE Standards within each of our StemGineer Clubs. 


ISTE-S.1.d:    Students understand the fundamental concepts of technology operations, demonstrate the ability to choose, use and troubleshoot current technologies and are able to transfer their knowledge to explore emerging technologies
 

ISTE-S.2.c:    Students demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the rights and obligations of using and sharing intellectual property.
 

ISTE-S.6.b:    Students create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new creations.
 

ISTE-S.7.c:    Students contribute constructively to project teams, assuming various roles and responsibilities to work effectively toward a common goal.
